A certified, evidence-informed adjunct treatment used to reduce pain, improve mobility, and restore normal muscle function - always as part of a complete rehab plan.
Overview
Dry needling uses thin monofilament needles to target trigger points and dysfunctional muscle tissue, helping reduce pain, improve mobility, and restore normal muscle function. Dr. Feder is certified in dry needling (Cert. DN) and uses it when clinically appropriate to help patients progress more efficiently through rehabilitation.
Dry needling is not acupuncture - it’s grounded in Western anatomy and neurophysiology and targets specific musculoskeletal dysfunction identified during your evaluation. And at Charge, it’s never a standalone fix: needling is paired with manual therapy and progressive loading so improvements actually last.
If you’re dealing with stubborn muscle tightness, trigger-point pain, or mobility restrictions that haven’t responded to stretching alone, dry needling may be a useful part of your plan.

Common Questions
Most people feel minimal discomfort - often a brief muscle twitch or deep ache at the trigger point. Mild soreness for a day afterward is common, similar to a workout.
It depends on your condition and preferences. Dr. Feder will evaluate you first and discuss whether needling is likely to help - it’s always optional and always part of a broader plan.
It varies by condition. Because needling is an adjunct within your rehab sessions, we track your response and adjust rather than selling packages of needling alone.
